All the facts

Here are some of the things you may need to know, especially if you have never been to Cedar Point before.

Parking is $10. If you are staying at one of the Cedar Point hotels they will give you your $10 back at the desk but you must pay the $10 at the gate.  If you are staying at another hotel, (not on Cedar Point property), that offers a parking pass, get your parking pass first, before coming to the park because you won't be getting your money back.

Service animals are allowed at Cedar Point, It has to be an official service animal though. Just having your pet there because you feel happy when they are around probably won’t qualify as a service animal. The best advice is to check with Cedar Point.  419) 627-2301 is the number for park operations. Listening devices, TTY phones, and sign language interpreters are also available.  For more info click below.

Reservations for ECVs are available for overnight resort guests, but in limited quantity depending on fleet availability.   Reservations must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance by calling the Merchandise Office (419) 626-0830, ext. 2571.  The ECV reserved by the guest will be held until 1:00 p.m.  If the ECV is not claimed by that time, the ECV will be released and the credit card will be charged for ½ day rental ($20.00).   Once the reservation list is filled, no more reservations will be accepted.

All the pools at Cedar Point have a life guard.  Even the beach has a life guard. If you are staying at a Cedar Point hotel you get into the park an hour earlier than the general public. The Cedar Point Hotels seem little pricey compared to some of the other area hotels. The Breakers is an old grand hotel and some parts are really old. I don’t want anyone to step into the hotel expecting a shiny, marble floored, mega hotel. It is very pretty though.here are bell hops, concierge service and really nice places to eat there.

If  you are not carrying a lot of stuff and get tired while in the park and you're way over on the other side from the parking lot or your hotel, there is a Sky ride and a train ride that goes from one end of the park to the other. You can't take strollers or wheelchairs on those rides or any giant stuffed animals, but they will take you from the front of the park to the back and vice versa.

You will probably go through a lot of drinks while you are there. If you buy something and it comes in a souvenir cup, don't throw the cup away. Many of the cups are refillable, at a considerably lower price than what you paid for them. Your small $3.99 drink that you had at one of the many eateries becomes a .99 refill.  Also around the park are little stands that sell Johnsonville brats, chips and a drink for $5.99. That is a pretty good price. No refills on that one it is a 12oz bottle of soda or water

Coolers are not allowed in the park. You can keep your cooler in your vehicle, or in the picnic area outside the park. The Picnic area has tables, electricity an grills that can be used on a first come first served basis. Be sure to get your hand stamped on the way out.

If you really don’t want to pay high prices for your dinner, there is an East of Chicago Pizza along the causeway to Cedar Point. They have a $6.99 all you can eat pizza buffet.
